I'll post them if that'll be helpful, but yeah, just wanted to hear if there were any recent experiences with fake Sony lenses. I'm expecting to see the typical vignetting in the corners that this lens is known for anyway, but I guess I'd just be comparing it to other images taken from known good 16-50 (good is relative with this lens, but you know what I mean). The lens works, but I'm going to check out the images a little later to see if there's anything unexpected. I tried looking up the serial number, but there isn't a serial number checker that I could find, but otherwise all of the stickers and printing look crisp and clear just like the camera body. It didn't come in the original packaging, and there wasn't any documentation or warranty card with it, so I know that can be a warning sign. It arrived today, and it seems legitimate, but I just wanted to see if there was anything I could do to spot signs of shenanigans. Plus, being out $170 is a bummer, but not the end of the world these days. Insured and tracked shipping cost: Germany - 10 eur. width: 7cm (the lens barell) weight: 950gr. They were shipping from Hong Kong, but the seller had a 100% rating, and I searched the feedback for others who've bought the lens, and no complaints. I was shopping all over for a deal on that kit lens, since $350 seemed way too much for a 3 out of 5 star lens that I just wanted to kick around with. I was borrowing the Sony 50mm prime lens from a friend in the interim, and it takes great shots, and I'm very glad I got this body and at least know that it's capable of quite a bit with a decent lens. My plan was to just get the little 16-50mm sony kit lens to kick around for a while, and then a Samyang/Rokinon 12mm f/2 for landscape and astro stuff I'm interested in. I wound up getting a very nice gently used a6000 body with a shutter count around 1000 from a local photographer on craigslist.
